Really love the output for the weight and size. Just wish there was a red LED in there too for night vision scenarios and for the option to have BOTH the spot and flood on at the same time like the Wurkkos HD15.

This is a really outstanding headlamp. Use it when I am rock climbing (pre-daylight starts) and ALL THE TIME on a sailboat...invaluable when on the ocean. Get one! (Gave my HM61R to the wife of my friend who owns the sailboat...she really needed it so I was headlamp-less. Stepped up to the HM71R)

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached. When this happens in Low output mode, the battery level indicator blinks to remind you to timely recharge or replace the battery.

I've gone through a lot of headlamps from a $400 surefire to a $60 milwaukee And I may have just finally found the last headlamp I'll ever have to buy. On a comfort scale it's about an 8 out of 10 , Recharge time is normal for a battery this size, Brightness? A friend threatened to kick me in the nuts if I Looked at him again with the light on. The biggest problem I had with my last light besides a pretty short battery life was that it had the battery pack located behind your head which sucks it was the first time I've ever bought a headlamp like that and the last. Ever try to lay down on a creeper while underneath a vehicle You're working on? Let me give you some advice it doesn't work out at all, So not only do I have a device that doesn't have the battery behind it but also is plenty bright and has great battery life. I'm pretty hard on equipment and I'll leave another review if necessary but like the title says review so far, so good!

This is a great headlamp. I am a professional automotive mechanic and headlamps are must have for me. This headlamp is comfortable, super bright when I need it and battery time so far is very good. Hardly ever goes lower than 90 percent charge on mid brightness

The headlamp memorizes the last selected output of Spotlight mode. When turned on again the previously used output of Spotlight mode will be recalled. Each time the Floodlight mode is entered it starts with the lowest level.

A: HM71R is rechargeable. The charging time is about 4 hours. (The indicator on the battery case will display red while charging, and will turn green when fully charged.)

Love this product great for working not to heavy but still very bright. Battery has great life I can use it all day no problem. Great light for the price !
