Solar lights operate at night by utilizing the energy stored in their rechargeable batteries during the daytime. Throughout the day, solar panels on the lights absorb sunlight and convert it into electricity, which is then stored in the batteries. As daylight diminishes and the ambient light level decreases, a light sensor in the solar lights detects the onset of darkness. When the sensor determines that it is sufficiently dark, it triggers the activation of the LED bulbs within the solar lights.
