Lexan is a high strength polycarbonate that is lighter and 250 times more impact resistant than glass. Lexan is highly resistant to most acids and chemicals and only needs a fresh water wash at the end of the day to stay clear and bright.

The Dirt+Sea EOS V140M 40″ Wide Beam Light Bar combines a spread of light from 120° scene reflectors at the ends of the bar with a tight spot beam for long distance vision. The combination beam provides a spread of light close in for night time manoeuvring, with a spot beam for picking out passages and surface dangers further out. The discreet, low profile bolt-less 6063 alloy light bar housing is tightly sealed against water ingress and is built tough to take whatever the ocean throws at it.

The single piece extruded aluminium body on the Dirt+Sea EOS and EOS V series light bars means that there is no requirement for bolts along the light’s face. This design feature helps to make the bar lighter and stronger, with less likelihood of corrosion between dissimilar metals. Dirt, salt and moisture are kept out while the look is kept low profile and unobtrusive.

The EOS V series uses 6063 aluminium alloy, a high strength alloy of aluminium, magnesium and silicon that is highly resistant to corrosion. 6063 also has great thermal conductivity, making it a perfect heatsink material for high power LED modules. It is not prone to stress corrosion cracking and is a great material for the intricate cooling fin shapes found on the EOS. These fins dissipate heat, keeping internal temperatures down, improving efficiency and and extending the life of the light.

The EOS V’s extruded aluminium housing is powder coated using high quality Axalta Polymer Powders. A thermoplastic polymer powder is applied electrostatically then set using high heat, resulting in a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint, very resistant to chips and flaking, and which will maintain its colour under the harsh Australian sun without fading or chalking.

The Dirt+Sea EOS V Series combines a 120° field of light from scene reflectors at the ends of the bar with a tight spot beam from the tuned reflectors in the centre. The resulting light output is a wide spread closer in with a spot beam probing the distance, allowing earlier detection of surface hazards or giving a better view of safe passage through a narrow channel. Used as a single light or in pairs, the EOS V120M 20″ Wide Beam Light Bar is a great option for a forward or side aiming vessel light.
