Our Level Crossing Signs are semifinished and require no decals or painting to the sign faces. The models require individual assembly of the components supplied in each pack, as well as painting of the posts and rear of the sign boards after assembly. Each pack contains components for two model signs to complete one level crossing.

The 1:87 Scale Queensland Level Crossing Signs Packs 1, 2 and 3 depict the style of signs used on passive level crossings throughout Queensland from the early 1900's to present day.

Pack No.6 contains the "RAIL CROSSING" yellow diamond traffic sign used on the road approch to a level crossing.

Pack No.4 contains the "TRAMWAY CROSSING" cross arms and the red/white Give Way triangle. This type of sign was used by Queensland sugar mills on cane tramway crossings until the mid 1990's, when cane tramways were recognised as railways.

Pack No.3 contains the "RAILWAY CROSSING" cross arms, "STOP", and "LOOK FOR TRAINS" signs. This sign represents the current standard for private occupational and maintenance crossings in Queensland. Due to Australian standards for level crossing signs, Pack No.3 would also be applicable to other Australian rail systems.

Pack No.2 contains the "RAILWAY CROSSING" cross arms and the red/white Give Way triangle. This type of signs was introduced in the early 1970's and was commonly seen on many branch lines and other level crossings that did not require flashing lights. This sign has been phased out from the mid 1990's, but can still be found in some locations.

Pack No.8 contains the Number of Tracks sign for level crossings with 2 or more rail tracks. The pack contains signs for 2, 3, and 4 Tracks. Please Note - This pack is available as an accessory pack to other 1:87 Scale QSM Level Crossing Signs which are sold separately.

Pack No.1 contains the "LOOK OUT FOR TRAIN" sign which was used in the steam era and phased out by the early 1970's. This level crossing sign, which was also referred to as a warning sign, has been faithfully reproduced in scale from the official Queensland Railways drawing dated November 1909. The model features raised letters to replicate the cast iron letters used on the prototype, as well as rear bracing detail.
