No. BAR was supported only in MOBO,s with updated BIOS. My MSI X570 Tomahawk received the first BIOS compatible (BETA) on January 4th. AGESA version on february. MOBOs with older chipsets, received the BIOS update few weeks ago.

Well that would come from your vid card mfg. Mine was EVGA so that is where I got my update today through their Precision X1 software.

I know you dabble in DCS as well, wondering if your experience with 3090 is better. My 2080ti/5900x combo slice can't handle it even at 45fps reprojection mode as it's a total ghosting mess, and that's with using the shaders mod and low taxing config settings.
Regardless, halogen bulbs are relatively inexpensive and durable, withstanding severe weather conditions for a fraction of the price of comparable LEDs or HIDs.

HID fog lights are similar to conventional halogen bulbs, featuring a gas-filled glass chamber and electrically charged filament. However, they require additional power to ignite, utilizing high-output ballasts to boost current to the bulb. HIDs are far brighter than conventional halogen bulbs and often power projectors in luxury applications.

Have raised it with Gigabyte support who have suggested lots of things to try, all of which I have already done. Next step is to flash the card to see if that resolves the issue. But given the responses above, I'm not keen. Add the fact I have a i9 11900 and Z590 MB sitting beside me to replace the 5600x and x570 currently giving me grief. Do I really want to flash a £1000 graphics card to see the bios on a m/b I'm about to swap out
Fog lights are essential to any pickup, SUV, or Jeep, improving visibility in heavy fog, snow, rain, and low-light conditions. However, there are several types of fog lights on the market. The most common fog light types include LED, HID, Halogen, and amber-toned, but which is best suited for your truck?
My system now shows this Resizable Bar thing as being enabled. I had a bios update for my motherboard for this a little earlier.

Probably only way for it to really work would be for Nvidia to enable it through a profile for IL-2. Which likely won't happen.
Will do next week, when I get to my office computer. Right now I am on my rtx 3090 system. Btw, turning on reBAR caused some stability issues on my previously stable system (5900x, PBO on, 15 negative curve on all cores), does anybody have same experience?
I've had a negative experience with RE Bar. Updated my x570 Gigabyte M/B to a new BIOS with Re Bar support. and enabled it . I now cannot see the BIOS when my 3080 is in my case. If I slot in my old 1080ti I can happily see the Gigabyte splash screen and enter BIOS. Since enabling RE Bar on the board, if my 3080 is in all I get is a black screen until Windows loads. No splash screen displays. BIOS will load I just can't see it. I tested by hitting Del key on reboot, No windows screen came up, I then hit F10 and enter. PC rebooted as I would expect if I was in the bios screens. I have tried HDMI and Display port. Same issue on both. I also disabled REBar in the bios with my 1080 installed. Has had no affect with the 3080. just cannot see thesplash and bios screens with the 3080 installed
LED (light emitting diode) bulbs are popular in the automotive industry, producing exceptional output while drawing far less electrical current than comparable halogens or HIDs. As a result, LED fog lights are brighter, enhance visibility, and cause less draw on your vehicle’s charging system. LEDs also last significantly longer than other bulb technologies, requiring fewer replacements.

Are you sure about that? I think I was one of the first to bench 6800XT in this game, and I ran the benchmark with resizable BAR enabled. I think it was supported since day one, or shortly after. To be clear, I myself don't think it's bad performance is caused just by reBAR, but who knows....

Unlike halogen bulbs, which emit a warm-toned glow, you can order HIDs in a far greater color temperature range, including indigo, blue, white, yellow, and everything in between. However, it’s important to note that most headlight and fog light colors besides white and amber are illegal.
Given that I doubt there'd be any way to replace my RTX 3090 FE, I'm really wondering if I should go to flash it. I'll just wait a week for the dust to settle to see what is going on, and how reliable that is, before I potentially bolt this card.
Used to flash my old Radeon cards back in the day to unlock the clocks, that was about 15 odd years ago, not needed to since then.

Halogen fog lights are an aging yet reliable technology still offered in brand-new vehicles. Halogen bulbs produce a familiar, warm-toned glow that’s easy on the eyes. However, halogen bulbs aren’t considerably bright.
Results are in............................................ Resizable Bar for a 5800x CPU and a MSI RTX 3090 has a negative impact on fps, for my test sample of one. i.e. it sux's
Yeah, I've been toying with the idea of upgrading the vBios for my EVGA 3080, but I don't think I would see any benefit in my flightsims right now. From what I've read online it appears that Resizable BAR needs to be enabled via Nvidia drivers for each game and not necessarily by the game devs so it might be a while before it available in IL2, DCS, etc. Or maybe the devs need to coordinate with Nvidia to make it happen? My card and system is running topnotch as is in IL2 GB with Ultra settings at 144 fps on a 1440p monitor right now, though I did undervolt the card for lower temps and lower power consumption, so I'm kind of on the fence about it as I don't play any of the games mentioned in the press releases or upgrade release notes. Maybe I'll get around to it next week.........
I wonder if resisable bar could be one of the reasons for bad performance of RX 6000 series radeon cards in IL-2. I have one 6800xt in one of my system and have benched it with poor results. I haven't tried resisable bar off though...
After installing all bios and Vbios updates then enabling IL2 Rebar using NVidia Profile Inspector, I lost a substantial and pretty consistent 10 fps when using VR and HP G2 at 100% SS. Went from 85 fps average down to 75 fps.

It's a driver-level feature, I believe. NVidia are using their software to automatically enable the feature in games that they have tested, kind of like their VRSS I think. They're never going to test IL2 so you will need to enable resizeable BAR via NVidia inspector, for il2.exe
Yes, that seems to be unlikely. This is probably not a right forum topic for that, but I was just wondering if turning off the resizable bar could help radeon card owners to improve their underwhelming performance in this game.

picked up the DCS and A8 couple of days back, started to fly it. Man, their VR performance is so bad it's discouraging. Made me appreciate the awesome work the IL2 devs do here even more!

Single Player Campaign flying in the Hornet and Persian Gulf is very nice and smooth for me. Even on a crowded Super Carrier.

Simply setting the IL2 Profile back to normal (no Rebar for IL2) with the NVidia Profile Inspector and restarting WMR I got my 10 fps extra back.

Yeah I will admit I was kind of holding my breath when I flashed this EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra, flashing any firmware always includes a pucker factor so to speak.

I have a FE card, and it was pretty painless. The utility checks for compatibility and version before proceeding. And it only took a couple of seconds during the part that said a power loss would damage the card.
Alternatively, universal-fit fog lights are not optimized for any particular vehicle, usually requiring custom mounts and wiring for installation and proper functionality. Universal-fit fog lights are ideal for off-road applications running aftermarket bumpers and grille guards, as these accessories typically feature integrated light mounts.
Amber fog lights are commonly found as factory equipment in foreign markets, known to cut through fog, rain, and dust far more efficiently than standard white fog lights. As a result, amber bulbs are a significant upgrade over your vehicle’s factory white illumination. Amber bulbs are also considerably easier on the eyes, reducing strain and ocular fatigue while driving at night.

In practice, the performance benefits of Resizable BAR can vary substantially from game to game. In our testing, we’ve found some titles benefit from a few percent, up to 12%. However, there are also titles that see a decrease in performance, so NVIDIA will be pre-testing titles and using game profiles to enable Resizable BAR only when it has a positive performance impact.
Yes, exactly. January the 5th is the date I managed to get the 6800 XT, and I am not aware of anybody, who could test the card in this game sooner than me. So I am not sure, If anybody have actually tried to run the game on rx 6000 series card with resisable BAR off.

Repeated question from another poster "did you enable REBAR for IL-2 with the Nvidia Inspector?" Needs to be enabled specifically for IL2 before you will any impact.
