The sensor uses infrared and can be mounted up to 10cm from the door. The sensor is wired between the power source and the light.

This LED IR door sensor switch is easily surface mounted to any cupboard, drawer, door, etc. When the door or drawer is opened the light turns on, once the door or drawer is closed the light turns off.

I put these next to both Rigid ambers and Baja Design ambers. These Heretics seem to have the best balance of the deeper wavelengths vs brightness. The Rigids were much more amber, but darker and the Baga Designs were brighter but less amber (which would negate the point of having amber lights in dusty/snowy conditions). These Heretics produce an extremely golden color. So of the three choices I had, I chose to keep the Heretics.

I recently got back from Glamis and the light has a lot to offer especially with night visibility. The amber light cuts through the dust. Outstanding made in the USA product and excellent customer service.

I bought this light bar to put above my winch on my general , I love it! Heavy duty you can feel the quality as soon as you pick it up and it super bright with great light distribution, you can't go wrong with any of heretics lights

While it is virtually impossible to source every single component needed to create a world class LED light, we take pride that we manufacture the majority of our parts in house.  If we can't make it ourselves, we keep it as close to home as possible, with most parts coming from less than 1 hour from our shop!
