Trooper Shawn Haggstrom said a woman who was a passenger in the vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes died at the scene and several other people were taken by ambulance to a local hospital. The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified the woman as Marilyn Rodriguez, 18.

According to Nevada State Police, the two-vehicle crash was reported shortly before 3 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-11 (previously called U.S. 95). Northbound traffic is being diverted off the freeway at Boulder Highway. The closure is expected to last several hours. Southbound traffic lanes remain open.
